AGK2 has a nice feature which draws the collision shape you have assigned to your sprites. This makes debugging collisions much much easier. To activate this feature, all you have to do is to call

SetPhysicsDebugOn()

inside your code. Even if you don’t use physics, this command will show the collision shape. Of course you need to assign one via one of these commands:

SetSpriteShapeCircle(...)
SetSpriteShapeBox(...)
SetSpriteShapePolygon(...)

So next time, before you guestimate your collision shapes, let AGK2 help you!
